A large collection of antiques and a stepped site became the starting point for this project to create a family home. We floated a large rectangular form that is cladded with operable panels that carry small marble objects. 4 light wells punctuate the rectangular form to bring light and air into the courtyards in the house. Each courtyard is different in scale and function, creating unique softness in each space. On the roof, a pavilion opens up into a vast roof garden that overlooks the entire estate.

The ground slopes downwards from the entrance level to open up into a long lap pool with lawns framed by water features and long walls. Stone volumes support the rectilinear form allowing the living spaces to be completely open to the pool deck and garden.

Two 3m tall stone lions are set perfectly to provide a unique identity to the pool deck.
